Notes
'Constance' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Constance') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, Tyrian pink flowers have a Japanese form and bloom from mid to late spring into early summer. The plant spreads wide, so give it room. E. J. Berneche bred it.
Pairs well with Monkshood, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
