Notes
'Constantinople' peony (Paeonia 'Constantinople') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light yellow, frilled flowers have lime-green highlights and a slight fragrance, and the upright plants need no support. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Joshua Scholten bred it.
Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Nodding onion, Knapweed, and Western sword fern.
