Notes

'Coquelin' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Coquelin') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant double flowers open crimson pink with silvery edges, so they bring color and scent to a bouquet. Cut a few stems to enjoy indoors. Auguste Dessert bred it.

Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Prairie dropseed, Black Hero tulip, and Quick Fire panicle hydrangea.
