Notes

'Coral Reef' peony (Paeonia 'Coral Reef') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The coral-red single flowers age to cream, and the upright stems need no support. Hans Maschke bred it.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Nodding onion, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
