Notes
'Coral Reef' spotted beebalm (Monarda didyma 'Coral Reef') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, cottage gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, loamy or clay soil. It forms a clumping, fragrant stand that reaches about 35 to 47 inches tall. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit the summer blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Anise hyssop, Limelight hydrangea, and Big bluestem.
