Notes

'Coronation' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Coronation') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Kelway bred it. The large double blooms are pale rose-pink with darker centers and a delicate fragrance somewhat like lilacs. It blooms in late spring to early summer, and the foliage looks good all season.

Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Sedge, and Cinnamon fern.
