Notes

'Courage' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Courage') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light, airy flowers are white with tiny pink dots that make each bloom look pink. Strong stems hold the semi-double blooms above dark green foliage. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1968.

Pairs well with Immortality iris, Black Hero tulip, and Ostrich fern.
