Notes

'Court Jester' peony (Paeonia 'Court Jester') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The small, fragrant blooms are yellow-gold with dark red flares, and the many secondary buds give the main show. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Roger F. Anderson bred it.

Pairs well with Dittany, Annabelle hydrangea, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
