Notes

'Crandall' golden currant (Ribes aureum 'Crandall') is a shrub for hedges and food gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Its yellow flowers are sweetly fragrant and open in early to late spring. Large, sweet, black berries follow, and the upright bush is grown for fresh fruit, jams, jellies, and juices.

Pairs well with Thimbleberry, Rhubarb, and Lingonberry.
