Notes

'Daybreak' magnolia (Magnolia 'Daybreak') is a tree for specimen planting, borders, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Pastel pink flowers open from early to late spring and smell fragrant. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit the blooms, and the leaves stay green all year.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Praying Hands hosta, and Japanese forest grass.
