Notes

'Decorator' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Decorator') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light purple blooms have darker flares, which gives each flower a bold, painted look. Cut a few stems for a vase and enjoy them indoors. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Krossa Regal hosta, Jacob’s ladder, and Sedge.
