Notes

'Delmotte' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Delmotte') is a shrub for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Van Houtte introduced it in 1873. Its woody stems stay in place through winter, so you only need to prune out dead wood.

Pairs well with Lenten rose, Golden Tiara hosta, and Greig's tulip.
