Notes

'Denarius' peony (Paeonia 'Denarius') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Dark pink semi-double flowers are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Joshua Scholten bred it, and it makes a fine cut flower.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Perennial candytuft.
