Notes
'Denver Daisy' black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia hirta 'Denver Daisy') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and pollinator gardens. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Large golden flowers have burgundy-black around the dark center cones. They bloom from early summer to frost on plants 1 to 2 feet high. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms, and deadheading keeps more flowers coming.
Pairs well with Gentian sage, Indian grass, and False indigo.
