Notes

'Desert Gold' peony (Paeonia 'Desert Gold') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light cream blooms with dark centers open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with False indigo, Mock orange, and Toad lily.
