Notes
'Desire' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Desire') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Archie M. Brand bred it. The double flowers are soft rose-pink with a lilac tint and have a rich rose fragrance. Plants reach about 2 feet tall, and blooms on young plants can look rough and uneven.
Pairs well with Siberian squill, Brown-eyed Susan, and Foxtail barley.
