Notes

'Doctor Ruppel' clematis (Clematis 'Doctor Ruppel') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Pink blooms with a red center and yellow stamens open in spring, summer, and autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Limelight hydrangea, Green Spice coral bells, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
