Notes

Dogwood (Cornus amomum) is a shrub for borders, rain gardens, hedges, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to wet soil of most types. Yellowish white flowers draw butterflies and bees, and birds visit too. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Joe Pye weed, Cardinal flower, and Ostrich fern.
