Notes

'Domus Aurea' peony (Paeonia 'Domus Aurea') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, lemon-yellow single flowers have frilled guard petals and face upward. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The low, broad plants reach about 20 inches.

Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Black Parrot tulip, and Sedge.
