Notes

'Donald' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Donald') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its large, fully double, rose-pink flowers are fragrant and open freely. The stems grow tall, with some reaching 54 inches, so you may want to give them support. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it.

Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Ostrich fern, and Lily of the valley.
