Notes

'Dorothy J.' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Dorothy J.') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, rose type blooms are salmon-pink with a darker center and have a chocolate scent. They open quite late in spring on sturdy stems that reach about 39 inches. R.H. Jones bred it.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Pincushion flower, and Sedge.
