This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, full double red flowers have no stamens and open in late spring to early summer. Strong stems hold the blooms upright at 32 to 34 inches tall. Flowers may blast in unfavorable weather.
Pairs well with Siberian iris, False Solomon's seal, and Black Hero tulip.
