Notes
'C.W. Dowman' clematis (Clematis 'C.W. Dowman') is a vine for trellises, fences, and arbors. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The pink flowers have narrow petals with darker bars around golden stamens. They measure 4 to 6 inches wide and open from June through September. The stems climb 6 to 9 feet high, so give them a sturdy support.
Pairs well with Bowl of Cream peony, Elegans hosta, and Greig's tulip.
