'Dr. Ruppel' clematis (Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel') is a vine for trellises, fences, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The pink flowers have fuchsia and magenta bars with ruffled edges and measure 6-8 inches wide. It blooms in spring and again in summer. Prune it as group B1.
Pairs well with Gardenia peony, Snowberry, and Anglojap yew.
