Notes

'Dragon Heart' crane's-bill (Geranium 'Dragon Heart') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Magenta flowers with black centers and red veining open in spring and again in summer. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies visit the blooms, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Karl Foerster feather reed grass, Blue Angel hosta, and Prairie dropseed.
