Notes

'Duluth' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Duluth') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it. The large, rose type blooms are pure white and open in late spring. Stiff stems hold the flowers up on vigorous, upright plants.

Pairs well with Dog's tooth violet, Cinnamon fern, and Spanish bluebell.
