Notes

'Early Brilliance' peony (Paeonia 'Early Brilliance') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts butterflies.

Pairs well with Garden phlox, Korean spice viburnum, and Clematis.
