Notes

'Early Daybreak' peony (Paeonia 'Early Daybreak') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant single flowers open white with rose-pink and apricot shading, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Arthur Percy Saunders bred this sturdy grower.

Pairs well with Golden Tiara hosta, Moonshine yarrow, Switchgrass, and Picture tulip.
