Notes

'Early Prolific' plum (Prunus domestica 'Early Prolific') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. It is grown for fresh eating and cooking, and it is self-fertile. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms in early to late spring. Rivers of Sawbridgeworth bred it in 1820.

Pairs well with Serviceberry, Gladiator ornamental onion, and Nelly Moser clematis.
