Notes
'New Dimension Blue' sage (Salvia nemorosa 'New Dimension Blue') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It forms a clumping mound of fragrant violet-blue flowers that attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It is drought tolerant, so it suits dry spots.
Pairs well with Black-eyed Susan, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and African marigold.
