Notes
'Eclipse' asparagus (Asparagus officinalis 'Eclipse') is a vegetable for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The green spears are thicker than standard varieties and give high yields even in the first year. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Asparagus is a heavy feeder, so give it rich manure or compost and fertilize regularly.
Pairs well with German Red garlic, Zucchini, Lowbush blueberry, and Rubenza cosmos.
