Notes

'Edith Scovell' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Edith Scovell') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, rose-red blooms look like roses in bud and in full flower. They open late in the season on stiff, strong stems of a compact plant. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.

Pairs well with Siberian squill, Garlic chives, and Queen of Night tulip.
