Notes

'Edith M. Snook' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Edith M. Snook') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Snook bred it, and it was introduced in 1931. The fragrant, nearly full rose flowers open soft ivory with a coffee tint and fade to milk white. The stems are stiff and hold the blooms upright, and it blooms late.

Pairs well with Gooseneck loosestrife, Black Parrot tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
