Notes

'Elaine Nelson' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Elaine Nelson') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Robert William Tischler bred it. The pure white, flat blooms measure 6 to 8 inches across and open easily on fairly strong stems. They arrive late and last a long time, and the green foliage looks good all season.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Immortality iris, and Grape hyacinth.
