Notes
'Elegans' Norway spruce (Picea abies 'Elegans') is a tree for specimen planting, accents, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy soil. It grows in a conical shape, stays evergreen all year, and attracts birds. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It reaches 24 to 48 inches tall.
Pairs well with Mugo pine, Berry Poppins winterberry, and Foxtail barley.
