Notes

'Elegans Viridis' Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica 'Elegans Viridis') is a tree for specimen, hedge, and privacy screen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. This evergreen grows in a conical shape at a moderate pace and is salt tolerant.

Pairs well with Sedge, Autumn fern, and September Charm anemone.
