Notes

'Yoshino' Japanese cedar (Cryptomeria japonica 'Yoshino') is a tree for specimen planting, hedges, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer tend to browse other plants first. It grows at a moderate rate into a tall, conical evergreen that tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Bush honeysuckle, Ostrich fern, and Mountain mint.
