Notes

'Elfin White' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Elfin White') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Edward Auten, Jr bred it in 1941. Its pure white single blooms have two rows of petals and open early on tall stems.

Pairs well with Iris, Miss Kim lilac, and Sedge.
