Notes

Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is a perennial for borders and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. The fragrant gray and silver leaves form a clump 24 to 36 inches tall, and butterflies visit the yellow flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Drought tolerance makes it an easy choice for dry spots.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Hyssop, and Buffalo grass.

Eurasia and northern Africa.
