Notes

'Erymanthian Boar' peony (Paeonia 'Erymanthian Boar') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, specimen planting, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double yellow flowers smell of citrus and face upward on stems that stand without support. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Joshua Scholten bred it.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Pale purple coneflower, Blue grama, and Black Hero tulip.
