Notes

'Ethereal' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ethereal') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flower gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant light pink blooms open slowly into a symmetrical rose type flower with petals like crepe paper. The strong stems hold the huge blooms upright, and the flowers last a long time when cut. R.H. Jones bred it.

Pairs well with Hollyhock, Lupine, and Ostrich fern.
