Notes

European larch (Larix decidua) is a tree for use as a specimen, a privacy screen, or a low maintenance planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows rapidly with a horizontal habit, and its foliage changes color in fall. Deer tend to pass it by. Birds visit the tree too.

Pairs well with Hoopsii Colorado spruce, Siberian squill, and Golden Globe American arborvitae.
