Notes

'Evensong' peony (Paeonia 'Evensong') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Professor Arthur Percy Saunders bred it, and the fragrant flowers turn pure white around mid-June. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Nodding onion, and Polish Spirit clematis.
