Notes

'Excalibur' Adam's needle (Yucca filamentosa 'Excalibur') is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, containers, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. The evergreen leaves form a clumping rosette that adds winter interest. Drought and salt do not bother it, so it suits low care spots. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Russian sage, Creeping thyme, Floristan Violet dense blazing star, and Prairie dropseed.
