Notes

'Variegata' Adam's needle (Yucca filamentosa 'Variegata') is a shrub for rock gardens, accents, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Creamy white flowers open in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and they draw hummingbirds, bees, and birds. The evergreen leaves are drought tolerant and salt tolerant. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Blue sage, Prairie dropseed, and New Jersey tea.
