Fairhope Select tea plant

Notes

'Fairhope Select' tea plant (Camellia sinensis 'Fairhope Select') is a shrub for tea harvest, hedging, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. It grows many shoots, so you can pluck the top three young leaves from the branch tips during the warmer months. White to cream flowers open in early to mid autumn. You can prune it to any size, or use it as an alternative to boxwood.

Pairs well with White Pillar rose of sharon, Shenandoah switchgrass, and Elfin mother of thyme.
