Notes

'Falernian Grapes' peony (Paeonia 'Falernian Grapes') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant double flowers are deep pink with blurred white edges. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Joshua Scholten bred it, and the upright stems need no support.

Pairs well with Eastern columbine, Krossa Regal hosta, Polish Spirit clematis, and Western sword fern.
