Notes

'Fantastic' peony (Paeonia 'Fantastic') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant Japanese type flowers have rose pink petals around a full yellow center, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Robert William Tischler bred it in 1972.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, Clustered bellflower, Stargazer lily, and Sedge.
