Notes

'Farewell' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Farewell') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The light pink center petals fade to waxy white and sit inside pale yellow outer petals. Strong stems of medium height hold the blooms, and it is the last peony to bloom. William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Black Hero tulip.
