Notes
'Faust' delphinium (Delphinium elatum 'Faust') is a perennial for borders and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Tall, erect stems carry blue, pink, purple, or white blooms in summer, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Stake the tall stems in windy spots.
Pairs well with Balloon flower, Kansas peony, and Carlton daffodil.
